The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2004.  . The department has experienced and dedicated faculty, well equipped Electrical and Electronics laboratories and  a department library. Current intake of the department is 60. 

Electrical & Electronics Engineering is one of the parent branches in technical education.  The first two semesters are clubbed together for first year, which is common to all branches. During first year the student is exposed to fundamental concepts in other disciplines like Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

From 3rd semester onwards, focus is shifted to Electrical & Electronics discipline with emphasis on Network Analysis, Digital Electronics, Electrical Machines, Microprocessor Based System Design, Electromagnetic Theory, Industrial and Power Electronics and Digital Signal Processing.

During the final year the student is given inputs on Power Systems, Control Systems and Computer aided Electrical Machine Design and a full fledged project work is taken up that is more application oriented.
