The Department was started in the year 2002. The Department offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science & Engineering.
The 4-year B.Tech Degree in Computer Science & Engineering enables a student to learn about the principles of a computer system, its architecture, programming and applications that drive them among other technical knowledge.
The subjects aim at providing students with the concepts and methodologies of software and hardware domains of Computers. There is a high demand for both Hardware and Software Specialists in the Industry today.
The curriculum integrated in the program offered at TIST helps students to understand the approach towards future computing that is embedded in applications such as cell phones and Personal Digital Assistants. Some of the core subjects include: System Programming and Language Processors, Graphics & Animation, Data Structures & Algorithms and Distributed Computing.
Graduates in Computer Science & Engineering are employable in a variety of positions such as:
